In honor of the 50th anniversary of the
Society of Photographic Education, I was commissioned to create an artwork illustrating the interconnection of students and teachers among their current members. Surveys were sent to all of the current SPE members asking them to identify the two teachers who had the largest impact on them. The finished piece, Map of Teaching Influence, is an 8' by 21' hand-drawn diagram detailing the teacher-student relationships of 900 artists.
