Jonathan Gitelson (1975) received his MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2004 and is a Professor of Art and Design at Keene State College in NH. He works in a variety of mediums that include artist books, videos, installations, public art, and sound-based projects that explore the wonder and strangeness found in the seeming ordinariness of everyday life.
RECENT HIGHLIGHTS
Recipient of the 2025 Vermont Prize, an award given to one Vermont artist each year.
Named the 2025/26 Research Fellow at the Cohen Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Keene State College
Featured in the current exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Photography: MoCP at Fifty: Collecting Through the Decades
